Account notifications
Choose events and delivery methods, and enable, test, or disconnect browser notifications.
In the Muchat dashboard, select your organization and open Settings → Account → Notifications. You can also open the notifications page directly. This page loads preferences for your account in the active organization.
Choose delivery methods separately for each event. All optional notifications are off by default.
Events
The How you receive notifications table contains these events:
| Event | When it applies |
|---|---|
| Conversation assigned to me | You become responsible for a conversation. |
| New message in my conversation | A user sends a new message in a conversation assigned to you. |
| Human operator requested | A user asks to continue the conversation with an operator. |
| Satisfaction survey or feedback submitted | A user completes a satisfaction survey or feedback form. |
| Form submitted | A user submits a form in a conversation. |
Delivery methods
| Method | Requirements and availability |
|---|---|
| Messages go to your account email. The address must be verified to receive them. | |
| SMS | A verified mobile number on your account is required to enable it. |
| Web push | Enable notifications for this browser using the banner above the table first. |
| Telegram and Bale | Visible in the table, but currently unavailable for selection. |
Your delivery email is displayed above the table. To change contact details or verify your email, open General account settings.
Choosing and saving notifications
Prepare your delivery methods
Check your account email and phone verification status. To use web push, connect your browser first.
Select methods for each event
Check Email, SMS, or Web push in the event's row. You can select several methods for one event. Uncheck a method to stop receiving that event through it.
Save your changes
Select Save changes at the top and check the success message. The button becomes available after you change a selection. Save the changes you want before switching organizations.
Notifications on this browser
Web push connects this browser on this device. Connect other browsers or devices separately if you want to receive notifications there.
Enable your browser
In the Enable browser notifications banner, select Enable notifications and allow notifications when the browser prompts you.
Test delivery
Once the banner says Browser notifications are enabled, select Send a test and check your operating system notifications.
Save your chosen events
Select Web push for the events you want in the table, then select Save changes.
Enable notifications, Send a test, and Disconnect take effect immediately. Save changes applies to your event selections in the table.
Disconnect stops web push delivery to this browser and keeps your table selections. To turn off web push for an event, uncheck it and save.
On iPhone and iPad, add Muchat to your Home Screen from Safari and open its icon. A secure HTTPS connection and browser support for web push are required.
